Job description

Missions :

Position Summary

•        Develop and establish quality assurance measures and standards for new projects

•        Review and enhance existing projects.

•        Develop and document best case practices, policies and procedures, and guidelines for the QA guild.

•        Identify test requirements in order to create and execute test cases.

•        Develop, document and maintain test cases and other test artifacts.

•        Facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.

•        Interact with developers and help create better developer testing methodology.

•        Ensure that validated deliverables meet specifications and requirements.

•        Contribute to general development analysis and estimates of upcoming projects.

•        Collaborates with talent across Delivery to meet project goals and timelines with appropriate levels of quality.

•        Support, coach and mentor other members of the QA team as required.

Our Client is doing a passive search (not for immediate hire) for an outstanding, experienced individual for the position of Sr. Mobile Apps Quality Assurance Analyst, to undertake this key role in Calgary starting in a 1 to 3-month period, depending on our Client’s growth needs.  To qualify for this position, interested candidates will first have to undergo telephone vetting with us at Clearport, then do an online test provided by our Client, and finally undergo interviews with our Client.  This position is aimed at a career-minded individual who seeks a challenging opportunity and to be part of dynamic, growing and winning team.  The right individual can capitalize on our Client's standard practice of offering strong performers continuous room for growth, autonomy to make decisions, and support for professional development.

Mandatory: University, Degree in computer science, software development, or a related field.

•        Strong knowledge of and experience in technical aspects of mobile and custom software.

•        Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time.

•        Strong understanding of business processes.

•        Keen eye for details.

•        Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

•        Fluent in English.

 

•        Working proficiency in French and/or Spanish considered an asset but not required.

Experience Requirements

7-10 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.

A minimum of 5 years of experience with mobile applications including iOS, Android or mobile web.
